One of the biggest paperweight events in the calendar will be held on Saturday 13th at Broadfield House Glass Museum in the West Midlands.
The annual Paperweight Collectors Day is back by popular demand at the Glass Museum run by Dudley Council. This year’s event will have a Scottish theme with a special one-day exhibition of "All Things Scottish" by the Paperweight Collectors Circle and a lecture by international expert Bob Hall on the same subject. The displays will feature weights by companies such as Caithness Glass, Selkirk, Perthshire and Vasart, and makers such as Peter McDougal, John Deacons and the legendary Paul Ysart.
There will also be paperweight-making demonstrations by Alastair MacIntosh, formerly a designer for Caithness Glass, who now runs his own business in Scotland. Paperweights will be available to buy throughout the day, including the weights made during the demonstrations. Specialist dealers attending will include Bob Hall, Sweetbriar Paperweights Gallery, the Corner House Gallery, October Days, Artius Glass, the Paperweight Collectors Circle and the Northern Paperweight Society.
Councillor Charles Fraser-Macnamara, cabinet member for culture and leisure, says:
"This is an excellent, well-established event and even non-specialists will find the demonstrations and exhibitions fascinating. Visitors are also invited to bring their own paperweights or other pieces of glass along, so experts can identify them during the event."

When adding a link (url) do not put a full stop after it, leave a space first. The url will include the full stop and as a result not work.
Fixed the one in first posting. This is one correction I have to make frequently.

No, the museum url really, really wasn't working! :shock:
I have it bookmarked, and my bookmark wasn't (isn't) working either, so it wasn't just Adam's full stop.
The link now goes through the Dudley Borough Council pages. The Broadfield House site is still not available as a direct link, which it always used to be :?
