Gilt fluted vase with huge ground pontil...any ideas?
« on: March 22, 2008, 12:14:29 AM »
A few people have suggested this is Bohemian, but I'm inclined towards French.  It's mold blown, tightly fluted and has a ground and polished pontil 4 1/2" or 11.5 cm in diameter, as well as a ground and polished base outside that area.  14" tall.  Did Legras do this sort of decoration?

Nice vase Kristi,
Id say 1880-1900, and same as you , maybe French, maybe Moser or similar,
I will look out for it on my travels around the web :D

I'd suggest Sèvres, Legras or Harrach
