Tri-Colored Vase - - High Iridescent
« on: March 14, 2010, 08:33:56 AM »
Hi, another (gift) I bought myself...lol.

Large Vase, Tri-Colored of yellowy, gold, and cranberry.  The top notches are not evenly sized, and some are higher than the others.  No mark on the bottom at all.  Have NO idea at all - just thought was pretty.  It does have a very high iridescent shine to it (is it Carnival??)  Any ideas on this one - and (poss) era ?

Size:
7.75 @ tallest point
7.50 @ lower top point
Opening at top - 5 inches Wide
Base Size - 2.5 inches Wide.

Thanks for any help with this....

I think that is Fostoria's Celestial pattern.  It was popular in the 1960-70s and came in several colors, some iridescent and some not.

I'm not looking at this in a book, so I'm not positive.

Thanks uphoosier......I think you might be right.  I googled that name and found this link/pix: http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/2121326260036795712CWrpTF

Does seem to look like it......and that is me thinking out-loud here.  So a possible match?  AND Carnival Glass then...

I don't think collectors consider this carnival glass  Fostoria generally is sought by elegant glass collectors
