Small Bottle or Vase?
« on: March 12, 2008, 06:33:21 PM »
Good Evening
Today i again bought several piece's of glass, this little bottle or vase is one of them, it stands 106mm high 4.1/4 ins.

In side the finish is smooth, while on the out side it feels as though sand as been stuck to it, there is also two little yellow flowers and a yellow band round the neck, the side shanfer in at the base which is 4cm square, around the side's of this little bottle or vase in a beautiful pattern of green red and black wave's which can be seen clearly when in sunlight or held up to a lamp.

Could any one please tell me what sort of Glass this is and how it is produced,
                                                                                                        Regards
                                                                                                        steve

One day I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine. William Hartnell

Not likely to be Linea Padovan, more likely to be from the Balearic Islands, i.e. Mallorca, so Lafiore as Ivo says, or Gordiola, or Menestralia, all of who have similar products/styles in their catalogues.

I have one in blue the same shape and style, but without the flowers. Finish is scavo (excavacione) - i.e. made to look like they've been buried for a long time and then dug up again.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd
