Harlequin "Jester" Sculpture, any thoughts?

(1/4) > >>

svazzo:
Hello Everyone!
I had bought this pieces a bit back, and I bought it wthout knowing anything about it. I dont usually buy figures but took a chance on this one. Thought some of you might have a better idea of what I have. Im stumped by it, as I havent seen a reference for it before.

It has silver and gold flecks, a very hevy and solidd gold pedestal, little black tassels on his knees, and what looks like a big club on his wais. It also has a mask as you can see, and has a red nose or tongue on his face.
Any thoughts would be greatly apperciated!
Javier

Javier, I think Harlequin is perhaps a better description? Can't help you with the sculpture though. Certainly unusual.

Max:
   Is it too obvious to say he's a Venetian, ready for a masked ball?

Ah, the Venetians do have an annual event where they wear masks, I believe. Alex should be able to confirm what the annual celebration is.
