Pear Paperweight
« on: May 12, 2008, 10:29:45 PM »
Hello All,

This paperweight came in with  'a lot' of paperweights I bought in auction (they ranged from Victorian dump to Mdina). I hope I am not embarassing myself by asking for help with this one.

Could anyone help me identify it and it's age (if it has any) and a maker (hopefully not ikea!)

Best wishes,

Wes

It looks like uranium glass. Does it glow very bright green under a UV light?

Hi,

I forgot to mension that it was not uranium glass

When I first looked at it, I would have put money on the fact that it was uranium glass but, surprisingly, no glow!
