Walther 1970's Ashtray
« on: May 19, 2008, 05:50:00 PM »
I have acquired this lovely piece, and am told it is Walther from the 1970's.  Can anyone help with more info, or links to a website?
Heavy (1.03 Kg) ashtray, clear glass, with lemon at the base, sits on large raised bubbles, graduating up to smaller ones. Perfect condition, 14 cm across the top, 5.5 cm high.

Yes it is Walther Driburg but much more recent than you think. Have you tried google at all?

I have tried Google, but the current stuff seems to be about their business, and heavy industry use.
The base, where the bubbles sit on the work surface, have tiny scratches consistent with some age, and under a magnifying glass there is quite a build-up of grot which a long soak in warm soapy water has failed to shift.

Hello, it was my husband that IDd this ashtray and your Ingridglas vase on the Whitefriars site.  What sort of 'extra' information are you looking for?

I would link information relating to a name for the design, perhaps the designer, and the value, please.
