Baccarat Glass Bust of Christ
« on: May 25, 2008, 09:12:24 AM »
I bought this Baccarat glass bust of what looks to be of Christ, I was going to sell and it was listed on ebay very briefly before my wife persuaded me to cancell the listing and keep it as it had grown on her overnight
Now that we are keeping it I would like to try and find out a little more about the bust, it is marked on the back BACCARAT DEPOSE, the only reference I can find on this mark was that it was only used between 1870 and 1914 is this correct, also is there any known Baccarat designer known who designed this item, my wife also asked if it is Christ was there a Mary made?
The bust weighs 3.25 ks and stands 27cm or 11"

Thanks for any help

Roy

The Baccarat museum are often very helpful, if slow in responding. The detail given when they do reply can be remarkable.
