Two Amber Glass Lamps. (Mould Blown)
Gilead:
Hi Frank.
The top fitting seems to be of a very thin tin metal the hooks are of cast alloy with LD printed in a diamond logo? if that is of any help.
have taken some quick photos close up which may show you the top better.

Frank:
Circa 1960-70 would be my guess, LD might indicate the maker of the hooks and they can be tough to track down. Is the mark on both castings? I have quite a few catalogues with such things in but all packed away waiting scanning.
Gilead:
Frank.
Yes both castings have the same mark under closer observation the glass seems to have melted to the cage at the neck point, as holding the glass from twisting if you get my drift, best way i can explain. can try and photo if you so wish in daylight tomorrow?

Anne:
Steve, we've discussed these types of lanterns before - it might be of interest and offer some leads: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,1636.0.html :)
Pinkspoons:
Not specifically related to the lamps in question, but just to add another known manufacturer to the pot.... this style of lamp was also produced by Kastrup, c.1957-65, and designed by Jacob E. Bang.
Promotional photo, c.1960, of Bang with a lamp...
