Looks like stone to me, probably onyx.  Whatever it is, it's pretty cool!  Must have been carved out of a single piece of multi-colored stone, I reckon, based on the cutting marks around the cat and the lack of a seam between dark and light parts.

Still got these Chinese bottles, i believe the one with the cat and Mouse is Agate,
which it seems can be quite collectable.
I think its carved out of one piece of Agate, which was selected for the change in colour from
grey to black. Pretty clever!

Is the red one similar to the other just posted. Perhaps add = Snuff not Opium to title

Frank thanks!  I never found this..I think I must have been using the wrong search words or something.
They are similar. The differences are my little bottle has a shorter neck and has 'handles' but the colour over a clearish glass seems very similar to me.
I've been searching but not found one the same yet.
