Sorry, didn't know this topic had even been dragged up again :shock:

I now have quite a few varieties of this range, including the clear milk jug and the larger 'unfooted' pink vase, like Tigerchips' and a 2614B plinth. I even came across a large green dish but without the handles - not really an elephant dish anymore!

Many thanks for all the info, Bernard. The pink appears to be one of the scarcer colours, so well done on getting a complete set 8)

TC — By any chance is this sugar dark and opaque enough for it to be Rainbow with the iridescence worn off?

Could it be just a very dark photograph of an amber piece? To me, the foot looked amber, but it's really hard to tell. Not the best picture!

Well, a 2004 topic, last commented on in 2008, and revived in 2014!  ;D

I was fortunate to pick up a complete tea set in Newark yesterday and I thought everyone might like to see what the tray looked like in case they should ever see one for sale (apologies for my five grubby little fingers spoiling the glass).

Thanks for the link Pamela! It wasn't until I got home that I realised the tray had ever been discussed, but with so much work to do I have been much quieter on GMB, so it must have slipped past me.

However, I do notice a slight difference between the pink and clear pressings: the pink tray has a diamond texture around the elephant's head, whereas the clear tray is almost smooth (a very slight rippling, but no diamond texture). Considering the rarity of the tray, I am surprised there were two dissimilar moulds - if not more?
