engraved, transparent enamel and gilt berry pattern dishes
« on: July 14, 2008, 10:33:11 PM »
I just won a nice little nappy that has the same pattern as a little bowl I already have.  The design is engraved and probably originally entirely gilt, and parts of it are painted with transparent enamels.  That, the style of the rim on the small bowl and fact that the bottom is ground flat strongly suggest Bohemian.  I've seen this style of work attributed to Moser, but never saw a confirmed piece.  I've also seen it attributed to Jules Barbe, which seems more of a stretch.  Anybody have any ideas?

Ebay piece I just won:

The bowl is 4 1/2" diameter, 1 1/2" high (11.5 cm X 4 cm).
