MODERN BOWL- SCANDINAVIAN ?
« on: July 20, 2008, 03:35:56 PM »
Helo there
I am looking for help iding this bowl - it is quite a large bowl 10 in across and 3 in deep, and heavy. It is a very simple modern design but the thing about it is the colour which doesn't reproduce well unfortunately - deep azure blue in the foot, clear acquamarine/ green for the bowl. There is a lot of wear on the footrim and I think this bowl was made in the 1960's or 70's, I am thinking Scandinavian and wondering if anybody knows of these colours in combination from a particular maker ? It could be Murano of course but the shape seems wrong. Or British ! Many thanks if anybody interested.
best wishes
gemma

Hi Gemma,
a photo of base may help, is it flat, or is there a pontil mark?
Cheers
