I did wonder if it was Kastrup, as I have had a green bottle with a plaque on the front with the same sort of decoration, and it still had its label on, so I knew who made that one!

Michael Bang never worked for Kastrup - the bottle your describe sounds more like Jacob Bang's 'Antikgrøn' series. But this bears no relation to it.

I was confused for a moment until I realised BJB and Glassobsessed were the same Barbara, perhaps Anne could change one of your names for the other!  ;D

Help, I must have had a sex change and no one has told me! I know I am a bit 'slow' at times but I should have noticed. Still, it does bring to mind some interesting possibilities for someone as depraved as myself.....

Also, thanks Ivo.

John (last time I checked).

Oops  :-[ but

Just bought one of these in clear glass and noticed it is a little bigger than the one I have in opaque white glass
I thought you were referring to the one that started the thread and you are both in the same part of the world

Sorry Christine, I took no offence.

Funnily enough, Barbara who started the thread sold a white one on ebay, I saw her auction and asked her about her attribution. I had bought a white one the previous day at a flea market and was surprised at such a quick chance of finding out more about it. She emailed me a link to this thread, possibly the first time I heard off the good ship GMB. I fancied a pair of them and so bid on her auction but did not bid high enough.

I do like 'naive' and also 'primitive' influenced art, these pieces fit the bill, I would also like more Eric Hoglund and nudging the top of my wish list is one of the sculptures by Ann and Goran Warff for Kosta (pictured on the front of Smoke and Ice). So if anyone out there has a spare one just gathering dust that they do not want......

Oh well, it is fun to dream (but nicer to have).

John.

Just wrote these are Spiegelau, but I think I´ll have to check the pattern again. There´s a labelled set in a shop close to where I live...  :)

Found them online also. The pattern´s close to very close, but not an exact match. Someone´s got inspired...

Intriguing, thanks Dirk.

Could have been licensed instead of inspired I guess. The texture is different too, the Spiegelau version looks like lots of dots rather than a 'dense' texture.

John
