Whitefriars Decanter?? and a glass cleaning tip
« on: July 23, 2008, 10:36:41 AM »
If this is not a Whitefriars Decanter, i will eat the stopper,
Ive found similar in the catalogues, just not quite exact shape.
Its slightly green. Maybe sage or willow?
11 1/2 inches to top of stopper.

And a cleaning tip, i like Fairy liquid power spray, it stays on the glass, and seems to
work pretty well.

Cheers

These come up fairly frequently on eBay, often described as Whitefriars. But they rarely attract bids.... so they're probably not.

Wouldn't like to say for certain, though, without a thorough rifling through the catalogues.

Just in case, tip from a professional glass eater: When chewing glass, it is important to use just your molars and to grind all pieces as small as possible with them before swallowing - but store as much between gums and cheek for later ejection rather than swallow. A salt water mouth wash is advised as a follow up.

Hi,
I would say that it is not WF. I have pics, from the design books and have found none similar to this. A lot of WF decanters have a number etched on the stopper base and one on the neck of the decanter.

Regards,
                Patrick.
