Now I've had time to take a good look at the mark on the bottom. And here it is:

Thanks for that .  Well, its not E.O.Brody who mark their glass differently. Hopefully one of our American members may recognise the markings. In the meantime I'll keep an eye out for a similar marked piece, hopefully with its label
