engraved bowl with uranium glass feet - Powell?
« on: August 11, 2008, 08:39:53 AM »
I have a bowl which was sold to me as possibly being Powell.  It is clear glass engraved with a geometric pattern, and green glass feet which glow brightly under UV light.

I don't think it is Powell, but does anyone have any identification for it at all, or even an idea as to the age please?

I have another bowl with the exact same shape feet, so I was wondering if the shape of the feet indicates any particular era of glassmaking or if it was common to different periods.

Thanks :)

Janet

Hi,
I purchased this small epns covered pot on Saturday which has similar design feet to yours which was discribed as being Bohemion. I also have a covered powder bowl with black scroll feet which I have been advised as being a Loetz Tango design by Michael Polowny.
So possibly yours is also Bohemian, just a guess though. ;D

Good luck!
Bryn

So it is possibly Bohemian, thanks for that.  Does anyone have a guess at what date it might be?
