I was not doubting your information Nigel, nor shooting you down, if I gave that impression I apologise.  I was just proffering information of my own and  was surprised to  learn of yet another importer called Jonzens.  I have seen the labels of both Hardy and Jones, an would find it interesting to see one of Jonzens if someone may have one.  Emmi

Hi Emmi,

No apology necessary, but thank you. I was just concerned about muddying the waters by adding in extra information.

There is probably only one person who knows the detail behind the Jonzen name...........here endeth the fishing trip  ;) :)

Cheers, Nigel

Did JOHNSEN & JORGENSEN LTD., (30, St. Bride St., London E.C.4) also import glass? We have adverts in GlassGallery for them as distributors for Sherdley glass, but the similarity to Jonzen makes me wonder if there's a link between Jonzen and Johnsen??

Hi All,
I am NOT suggesting for one minute that this is relevent, however I have a bud vase with a generic JJ label on it.  I have not managed to find any clues about the label and it just crossed my mind that it could possibly be related to this discussion.  The bud vase itself shouts Czech made to me.  Can anyone point me in the right direction to find out more about these/this company?
