Small vase decorated to look like some types of the mineral gemstone, Jasper.
Clear body with carefully selected and placed "frits" of various colours and sizes applied all over, plus application of mineralized salts (iridescence) and possibly also metalloid chemicals (yellow ?)

The overall effect is a rich translucent amber with highlights and lowlights, as well as a subtle cast of iridescence according to the light. The more closely you look the more colours, shades and effects
you see.

13cm  c360g Mold Blown
Base : shallow, very neat and smooth kick-up
Rim = cut & polished.
Thin walled but fairly thick base giving nice overall weight and good balance. Feels strangely delicate yet at the same time robust.
Bought in Germany.
WMF ? Studio ?  Ideas ?
TIA

That is a silver oxide reduction vase made by Huta Szklá Tadeusz Wrésniak any time after 1980. They claim it is a factory development - but the basic technique is WMF Myra. It is not in their published catalogues, but any item of glass can be supplied with this treatment.

That looks like Hortensja - the later, not desperately common, Polish glass to be treated with this technique.
It's rather gorgeous, Peter - do you still have it?

A bit late in the day, but I happen to know this vase got broken.
That's why Peter was given my one.
