What sort of government/union restrictions?  When it comes to health and safety guidelines, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they were looser in China!

Makes me wonder how much, and what type, of glass has been produced in China in the last 50 years that we are unaware of because it wasn't made for export, at least not to the West.
