Rearing horse - murano?

(1/1)

Littleblackhen:
Can anyone tell me anything about this horse (another boot sale buy :))?  I thought it might be murano, but I am sure I saw one very similar on a website attributed to an American maker,  of course I can't find the website again now.

Does anyone have any comments on it?

TxSilver:
It is very difficult to attribute the smaller animal figurines to a certain country or maker. Animals such as horses take less than 5 minutes to make and sell well in stores, so they are very popular. It is difficult to tell one from the other unless there is a label. Yours may be Murano, but there is no way to know for sure unless you find the same one with a label.

Lustrousstone:
I would guess at very recent and Russian, there seem to be herds of them around at the moment with that internal colour streak

Littleblackhen:
That is a shame if so :(

The lady I bought them from was elderly and said she had bought it at least 30 years ago, but I guess she may have been confused about dates.  The other glass I bought from her was from around the 50's.

Lustrousstone:
As Anita says, who knows...
