Topic: Caithness Glass Vase

Hi all,

I have recently found myself collecting Caithness vases, with swirl designs - as seen in the picture.

Ebay is a great place to sniff out these items!

But i am wondering where i can get these items brand new, or any other caithness design for that matter. I have been trawling the internet to find somewhere that sells Caithness stuff OTHER THAN PAPERWEIGHTS! But i'm stumped.

I have tried this and its slim pickings from where im from, East Anglia area, and even London doesnt offer much. Harrods stocks caithness but, again, its all paperwieghts!!!!  :cry:

I'm really struggling to find Caithness crystal except off Ebay. Its very frustrating.

Scottish charity shops are full of Caithness too.

Well i have now found out that since Dartington bought them out, they only make paperweights now.

So i guess my next mission is to find places or people who sell second hand items that i'm after.

Are they like the designs in the picture i posted? I collect this design and the other colours that relate to it. Pink/white, purple/blue and the black obviously. I'll have a look. Thanks!
