Not absolutely sure, but this initially appears to be a piece, recently discussed in an essay by Eduard Stopfer on the

le casson....can you tell me more please?
Sklounion:
Closer examination of the base of your vase suggests some similarities with the vase discussed by Eduard Stopfer, yet yours has no clearly defined foot. Stopfer has a similar vase in his collection, and was making observations on the design of moulds to obtain optical effects. The factory and designer remain at the moment unidentified, but Stopfer's view that this piece was a Czechoslovakian product of the 1970's is probably accurate.
Attribution of many of these optical vases remains a continuing problem, (I have one here, which has defied all attempts at identification)as many countries designers explored the potential of mould-making and the physical/optical properties of glass.

Marcus

I have had a look on the link you posted but can not find essay, Sigmar has a wonderful web site but sadly my German is very poor, I have saved a lot of his work, I would wish he or someone would post an English version, I feel I am missing so much about glass from Europe.
