I picked this little set up today. I know which country it was made in, and I guess it was made in the 1950s from the box. The tops, believe it or not, are uranium glass, not plastic. I suspect it has survived virtually intact and in box because the screw-on tops don't screw on very well; you'd only have to twist the top the tiniest amount to have your dinner really and truly salted and with added lid. My OH isn't entirely convinced the set is right because of this and because the salt has to be positioned just right to fit it into the box. I think it's one of those gifts that's been in a drawer for 50 years and the grandchildren were allowed to play with it occasionally, which would explain the box damage.
My questions are, is the set good and which factory made it please? The bases used a four-part mould.
