another mdina signature on sea horse

I'm tending to agree with Della - it does look like Crown Paints. Crown Berger have a plant on Malta - I wonder if this was something made by Mdina as a company giveaway / award / other item? Might be worth asking them: http://www.berger.com.mt/

..and is this a seahorse or a stallion? They produced both - it looks more like a horse with a mane than a seahorse to me.

These "seahorse" chess pieces were designed by Joseph Said - after he'd been asked to make a chess set, he decided to carry on making these Knights as paperweights.
That is not his signature, obviously. The script looks the same as the "Mdina" mark, so I'd think "Crown Paint" may well be a contender.
