Mini paperweight button
« on: December 05, 2008, 06:48:24 AM »

I had not heard of this maker (fujie kawata), but his buttons look well made and attractive. A 'Bohemian' air to them!

Not sure if Fujie is a male or a female. But  "he" started using a signature cane very recently for glass PW buttons and thus ended up on my radar screen. He has been involved with glass beads for a number of years in Japan and only recently started doing buttons. Only a month or so ago his buttons were single flowers and already he has moved into mulktiple flower buttons that are very nice.

I have a bunch of his/her auctions bookmarked. Very nice work and I intend to add some to my collection.
I collect Scottish and Italian paperweights and anything else that strikes my fancy.

There is another Japanese button artist on eBay. I found this one. I couldn't help myself.
