The label on the cat is AVeM. According to Heiremans in his book
Murano Glass, Themes and Variations, the label was used on "non-artistic" exported pieces from the post-WWII period to at least the early 70s. By non-artistic, he was probably meaning tourist-type glass. I am glad you posted the picture of the cat. I had seen it frequently, but had no idea who made the design.
I'll have to leave the penguin to someone else.
