green carnival glass?? - ID = Indiana Glass, USA
« on: April 03, 2009, 07:39:44 PM »
not the sort of thing I wud normally pick up  -  but it looked so unusual.    The convex side has a beautiful iridescence, with the bowl side less so, and the glass appears green.          Including the 'twig' bit, its 33 cms. long  -  24 cms. at the widest  -  with the bowl being about 7cms. deep.    Also, quite heavy.
No marks whatsoever that I can see, and obviously it looks quite modern.     Possibly from the States??              Any thoughts very much appreciated please.      cheers        Paul S.

It's Indiana Glass (Indiana, Dunkirk, PA) in their Iridescent Green - made 1970s - intended for serving salad.

You can read more about Indiana's Carnival in my article here.
