I have this glass piece and would like to know what you all think, where this thing ( bowl, dish ? ) may have originated or who might have made this piece.
By going thru some very helpful links in another post I think that the piece was created using the Murrine Applicato technique on Opaque white glass / with gold / silver foil then overlaid with colorless glass. The dish has a 1 CM clear glass coating. It measures 9 inches

Thank you all in advance for any help you can give me on this.

Jessica

I also have this other vase that I already have listed on EBay that I am unsure of I know its from Italy cause the little sticker says so LOL.

I can't see your vase, where is it?

Nice Murano style bowl you have there.  :)

Here's a similar one only without the silver inclusions.

I just wanted to add that this Vase is HUGE is stands 20 inches tall and has an 8.5 " mouth. It weighs 10 lbs. There are additional pics on the Ebay listing, of the bottom and close up of the lionshead

Anne:
Jessica, your LINK to the eBay vase works just fine.

However, your later picture is way too big and will cause awful problems for some board users. Can you either shrink the image to a more reasonable size please or add the image to a photo hosting site and post the link to it? Many thanks :)

BTW Your vase reminds me of the Californian company's wine carafes that were so popular in the 70's and 80's.
