Hi I just got this and not sure if it from the 80's or maybe older (60's).  The total height with lid on is 14 inches, and with-out it on about 10.5 inches tall (just the glass part).  Base is about 5.5 inches wide, while the Middle is about 3.5 inches wide.  At the handle area, total width across is 7 inches...

I know it is NOT silver, as on the lid there is the following (at least that looks like what it says):
Silver Plate
Italy
EP Zinc
(??)

Wonder IF anyone can date this, the maker, and the pattern name of the glass.  I do not know IF just the lid is from Italy, or the rest of it too  - as I see no marks on the Glass, or base of the glass (but I am blind...LOL.....j/k..)

It is tall, and I bought it at a garage sale and the silver was all black -- so I just gave it a quick polish here.  I think it looks nice.  Thanks for any Info.....as always

:)

Rose ,
its a Claret jug, cant tell you much more, pressed or moulded examples are very common here in
the charity shops. The cut glass ones are much more sought after, the plate looks good quality though.

It looks like mould-blown glass to me, so probably in the claret jug world it's not worth a lot.
