8 cm weight with a highly polished ground - to me it whispers "Italy" - but to you it may shout something else entirely? Enlighten me, please!

Yes, Murano. The white / yellow flower canes look like Fratelli Toso to me, but hopefully one of the folk more knowledgeable on Murano weights and canes will add something.
