Art glass vase? manufacturer unknown?

Bought this today its 8.5"t 4.5"base 3.5" rim nice and heavy 2kg nice ware circle around the base, etched foliage around the vase unsure how to describe this item would anyone know who may have made it? Thanks for looking..

I might be wrong, as it's not really my field, but instinct says that it's probably fairly modern department store glass.

Hi thanks for your replyies, It is clear glass not really sure whether its modern i suppose some glass mark's up easier than other's but it certainly has signs of considerable age i suppose it may just be the owner moved it around the house a fair bit?? The decoration is cut in to it to a fair depth. The glass reminded me of some of the glass i was reading in a millars 60s 70s art glass book in bed last night so i took a chance on it. :-\
