No, not at all. Plate is twice time bigger and rather red.
I suppose that the same acident could happen in another glass-shop in world and the idea to exploit not expected shape was the same.

This is quite a common shape from several glassworks - including Murano and some Scandi glassworks amongst others - personally I doubt very much they all rushed to copy a mistake made in Czechoslovakia.

hi pip, i thought that too as without the fold and the little curled over "rose" bit, the plate would actually be not that great, but i think that makes it more of an interesting design which a lot of people would think 'oh thats really different, i like that' people always like things which they percieve as different..
