Holmegaard Princess style glass? What is it?
« on: June 05, 2009, 08:47:41 PM »
Hi -

Grabbed these up at a recent sale, thinking they may be Princess glasses, but they don't seem curvy enough. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Pete

HI Pete,

Is there any marking on the base at all?

Whilst the teardrop and stem shape look fine, the bowl isn't a style I'm familiar with and it looks a little thick where the stem joins the bowl....  However, I don't know the full range of these glasses - I've only had the white wine and the champagne bowls in the past. I did manage to find this picture below whilst looking - which shows I presume most if not all of the Princess shapes.

Hi -

There are no markings on the base, and the bowl is pretty straight - not as rounded as most of the princess glasses I have seen...
