Hi there
This pretty little vase is made from a bright lime green Uranium glass which glows like mad under UV. It is press moulded with a star burst base which is concave and goes up into the vase, the pattern is quite busy with 4 sided cross/diamonds a slightly twisted look stem and shaped base.
It stands at 15.5cms tall, and 8cms at its widest. Ive had a good look over it and have been unable to find and makers marks or reg numbers (thats not to say there isnt one that i just havent seen as yet ;D)
any info much apreciated
michelle

English I would guess, perhaps one of the Manchester/Lancashire factories, 1860 to 1880ish. Dave Peterson has one in his book Vaseline Glass Canary to Contemporary but makes no guesses about anything. My thoughts are just guesses.

Hi there. I bought this similar vase a year ago on ebay and was described as Davidson "Tulip" vase.

But not 100% sure either

Cheers

I can tell you offhand that it is not suitable for tulips and does not have a tulip shape - so I would describe it as a hatpin holder.

I've seen them attributed to Edward Moore of South Shields, but I've never seen any evidence to back this up.
