GTS Mystery Set 47 - ID = Jewelray (a Clayton Mayers import)

<< < (2/2)

Anne:
This set has now been found in a Clayton Mayers catalogue dating from the 1950s.  http://www.victorianpressedglass.com/pdf/clayton_mayers.pdf  The range is shown as Jewelray, but with no indication of maker other than they were a continental maker.  The set was 7 pieces and came in 5 colours: Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Topaz.

Anne:
This one is Topaz.

Jayne:
Those c.1950's Clayton Mayers catalogue images are super!

Jayne:
The Czech Stolzle 1930's Catalogue shows the 'Cut Glory Star' Tray on page 6 Pattern 18411 and Trinket Pot on Page 13 Pattern 18357. Other Jewelray items appear with the Trinket Pot like Jam/Honey Pot and Covered Butter.

I would say Stolzle almost certainly made the Jewelray items for Clayton Mayers.
