Harrach or Moser Appiled Fish Vase?
« on: July 05, 2009, 01:44:31 AM »
Hello,
We recently acquired this gorgeous blue vase with heavy enamelled applied fish. It stands approximately 5-3/8" tall. It has an uneven polished pontil with a black "5." on the base. We are leaning towards an attribution to Harrach (~1890'S) vs. Moser. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!!! ;D
Thank you and happy collecting!
Lenore

I would agree with the Harrach attribution based on the style of applied fish, the shape of the vase, and also the color of the body of the glass. You can contact Moser directly and they will confirm or deny that they produced it. If they say no, then Harrach is a sure bet. That is where I would put my money anyways, but it is always nice to ask Moser also.
