i picked this up at a carboot sale last year, I had always thought it to be Murano, and i was told by a friend it was a very nice quality piece of triple cased Murano, can anybody give me any info on this
The internal layer is a bright red high gloss shine, cased on white glass which is cased in a layer of thin brown glass which is matt and slightly more rough to the touch the brown layer at the top of the bowl has gaps in (looks like melted plastic almost, very unusual effect) so you can see through to the white glass.
The front has been pushed down and the back pulled up into a good twist.
The base is ground down to the white glass with a slight concave, although not rough it hasnt been polished down to a shine.
A little age wear although not heavy, no signiatures or markings that ive been able to find.
Gorgeous tactile piece would love to know more.
14.75cms tall, 14cms by 15cms wide weighs 1.1kg
