Have i bought a Czech vase?
« on: August 06, 2009, 07:28:05 PM »
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to help me in an ID for this vase. I bought this vase to add to my growing Czech vase collection, the vase is 9.5" high and very heavy. The base has a typical 'bird bath' base ( see i'm learning stuff of you guys already ;D ) I would have posted more pics but cant get the size of the pics below the 125KB limit Grrrr  Can any one tell me who the designer is or the factory ( i promise to buy Marcus's book as soon as i can afford it!!!!)
Slainte, David

Unfortunately the bird bath base has became over-associated with Sklo Union/Czech glass. It's not exclusive to Sklo Union glass and not all Sklo Union glass has it. Best to treat it as just one clue
