Did they do this sort of stuff? Obviously, but it's never crossed my radar. I never went to the factory. Have only visited Norfolk for the last 35 years. I've passed King's Lynn many, many times but I have only been once as an adult and that was before I was interested in glass. The trouble with King's Lynn is that it's either the last leg or the first leg of a 4 to 5 hour journey.

well that was great info for taking a pic with flat coke.....it looks a lot clearer with the red i have taken
Yesterday i was in Zurich and took it into a major auction house and they have said ....c1760 and certainly Dutch....so i am delighted and thanks to all for the help and comments.

the coat of arms is for George I or II or III up to 1801.

Hi Norman i am so pleased it worked for you as it does for me , it gets even better you progress on to Guinness , Claret or a very dark Brandy and you end up as happy as a pig in xxxt . Of course you have to drink the evidence before your wife comes home . jp  :chky: :angel:

LOL...well i was saved years ago,,, no religon or pusher...just NO wife so rather foot loose and fancy free
one of the lucky ones i guess....hehe.
My biggest problem is knowing enough about glass and then paying the asking price never 100% sure whether i am being over generous or rather dumb when it comes to identifying the true article...lessons to be learnt for me but heck i still have a lot of learning but having fun doing it.
and i raise the glass to u full of claret!!!   smile
