blue painted decanter and glasses

hi,this is 10 1/2inch high,the painting is dark,it has a pic oh a church on one sode and a lion with wings holding a book with the letters p a t i on one page and x b i on the other page,the glasses have a gondola on one side and church?on the other side and a flower on the two opposite sides to them,all the edging is dark,dont know what it is painted in and the glass is a loverly blue,thanks kaz

Eeeeek brush up on your culture. The lion is the symbol of Venice; the church is the San Marco. The technique is silver deposit. Now you get three guesses where it comes from....

clues coming in thick and fast LOL. I have yet to see an example of silver deposit souvenir that predates the 1930s, I think the style went out in the fifties (but if you get later examples, try and surprise me!)
