Had a quick scan but nothing remotely like it, could not find when started either. Needs more time... bit short of that at the mo... Bet answer is in your book... another building project. Are you transforming your ground floor?

Have 'googled' as Ivo suggested and found a bowl with what looks like similar 'decor' to the one I posted,only the rim looks a little different,have taken an image but can't post it here,will email it to you if you wish ;D

Thanks for pic. Looks modern and nowhere near the thickness of cellophane, not decorated in the same style... so perhaps Mantorp another red herring. I still cannot find if they were active in the 1930s, not mentioned in Hartmann and Fact-file is not accessible.

Did find a Hovmantorps active in 1951 but listed as Swedish Crystal, but lacking more info on this listing would assume it to be a USA registered trademark used by US importers of Swedish crystal rather than a Swedish glassworks. None of the 'Hovmantorps' references on-line show anything remotely like Cellophane.
