Marcel Franck Schott Holmegaard

(1/2) > >>

Tigerchips:
I've been to all my local Charity shops and I came back with three glass items.

This one is a Holmegaard style vase (£2).

Schott, Zwiesel Glasses boxed (£3). I knew this company was related to Jena in some way. I'm not certian of age or value (if any).

A Marcel Franck perfume dispenser (10p!). Some ware to the gilding on the front. I bought it because of it's quality. I know very little about him/her but he/she seems to be popular on eBay.

I just want to say how much I appreciate everybody helping me on this board.  :D

Not that I'm leaving though, but you never know.

THANK YOU

Anne:
Can you do a picture of one of the glasses out of the box please?

I do like the perfume bottle. Not my usual sort of thing but there you go. ;)

Tigerchips:
Cheers!

The box looks 70ies and later to me and so do the glasses, a very fashionable shape for champaign at that time  :?  My wine glasses came in a similar box.
Zwiesel is a town in Bavaria situated at the so called 'Glas-Strasse' (glass road)next to Czech boarder. Neighbours are Theresienthal, Frauenau etc.

Tigerchips:
Thanks Pamela, I wasn't sure why the box was in such a good condition. I almost thought it was new. I think the previous owner must have stored it an attic - away from the sunlight.  :)

On the box it has the words "noble critallin", "Edles Kristallglas" and "Superb crystal". I presume that mean's it was made for England and Germany as well.

There is a paper label on the side which reads "6 schalen, parma 2801, glatt/fest"

I've just noticed some very small words and numbers that might be a date: "ss+p 17/1/74".

The glasses/bowls are approx 4 inches high and approx 3 and a half inches in diameter.
