Hi,
Looks very Scandi to me, similar to those produced by Paul Kedelv for Flygsfors although these would generally have some sort of signiture on the base.  Ikea have been known to sell similar but more recent pieces that were made in Scandinavia but carry no makers marks.

Thanks for the input,when I first got it I thought it was Italian it's only in recent years I thought it may be Scandinavian,think I paid £7.50  and thought I'd been ripped off(it was some time ago)Keith

Used to have this purple one, always assumed it was Scandinavian, likewise no markings or label.
