Cruet made in Italy - Murano?
« on: August 28, 2009, 07:41:42 PM »
Can anyone help with the label on this cranberry cruet? It has Abraham Lincoln on the front of the cruet. The label says "Original Creation By", then has symbols - K, a glass, a jug, and B, then says "Made in xxxxx" and I think it is Italy.
Thanks!
Cathy

The label is for the KB Import Co (Koscherak Brothers, New York). They imported low and second-shelf pieces from Murano. I don't recognize your cruet. Several companies could have made it. It reminds me a bit of Rossi, but nothing definite. The picture of Abe Lincoln may have been added later by who knows who. It doesn't seem to match the spirit of the cruet to me.
