For what it's worth regarding the decanter for sale on eBay - usually I would say to take most items for sale on eBay with a grain of salt, pricewise, however in this instance the dealer, Al, is a very knowledgable and respected dealer in 20th Century design.  He also has a retail outlet in Reading - so I'd say that the price is quite probably realistic and/or achievable.  Hope that helps.

This piece won the Golden Medal at exhibition in Leipzig 1963.
