Either Eastern European or Chinese, I suspect.

Not really a 'fake', as they're not pretending to be anything - they're just in a broad 'Venetian style'.

A fair number of the older ones, especially the multi-coloured ones like Keith's set of three were also made in Czechoslovakia I think. I know these are always on ebay as Murano, but I don't know that I've ever seen one that I thought was.
