id request on water jug
« on: September 29, 2009, 07:20:20 PM »
I have a weakness for water jugs  -  if only because they come in an attractive range of colours  -  although not sure what colour you'd call this  -  pink champagne??    The quality is good  -  large ground/polished pontil mark.   The ovals are not really proud of the surface, but contained within a slightly raised beading, although if you feel the inside then each one sits over a noticeable depression. Can't see any marks, and there is considerable wear on the base.  Size is about 22 cms. tall by about 14 cms. wide.   It's probably a bit of a long shot, but thought that being rather distinctive someone might have see the pattern before, so grateful for any thoughts, and thanks for looking.    Paul S.
