Sometimes the colour on these is just sprayed on and scratches off if you take a wire scouring pad to it....might be worth a go in this case.!

Ooh, don't do that! It can't help being a changeling.. ;)

I saw two of these on a flea market last Saturday - unsigned.
One had a hole in the base like you describe it, the other one
was closed.
I wonder if they might be Krosno / Poland?

Hi,

Thanks guys- thankfully only paid £1.50 for it from our car boot. Also the seller had partially removed an auction label.... (more , thought it was too good to be true, and the inscribing seemed a tad amateurish! Anyway only have "none-scratch" scourers in this house, so have left well alone BUT in daylight you can see a fine misty covering on the glass which presumably is the spray?

So if I had all these red flags ringing- why did I buy it? not even partial to the colour.  Guess we can't resist a bargain.  Still chuffed with my other car boot purchase though, the Orrefors bowl which is labelled and signed authentically and that cost me £1.

Thanks once again for all your help and comments, Sharron  ;)
