Topic: deep red pressed glass bowl, maker and age if poss

This is a very deep red bowl 9cm deep and 14cm across a nice weight with an impresses base also,the colour differences are due to the camera flash,the true shade is the darker one,any help in an ID would be appreciated.

I have just been told this is ruby glass,i don't know if the wording makes a difference but it is thick and smooth with no visible mould marks..Lynn
